Overview
April was a big and exciting month for CarePortal. From hosting our first CarePortal Conference in Kansas City to unveiling a new logo and branding, we’ve been busy on all fronts! Keep reading to see some of the updates to the CarePortal system that we are most excited about.
CarePortal Rebrand (Improvement)
Affected roles: Everyone
As CarePortal continues to thrive and expand as a care-sharing technology, it became evident that our brand needed to evolve with us. After thoughtful planning, creative exploration, and collaboration, we are excited to share our new logo and refreshed brand identity with you! You’ll notice throughout CarePortal, we have updated our logo and colors to reflect this rebrand. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Refreshed Training & Resources Tab + NEW Training & Resources Tab for Responders (Improvement)
Affected roles: Everyone
Responders (church, champion, and community) now, for the first time, have a Training & Resources tab! Additionally, we gave the Training & Resources tab some much needed love. It has a new look, better organized content, and is now mobile friendly.
New Password Requirements (Improvement)
Affected roles: Everyone
We've boosted CarePortal's security with new password requirements. Now, your passwords need to be at least 14 characters long, including one capital letter, number, and symbol. Plus, we'll ask you to switch it up every year. These steps are crucial for keeping your account safe and secure!
New System Email Address (Improvement)
Affected roles: Everyone
Previously, our emails came from careportal@careportal.org. Now, they'll arrive from no-reply@mail.careportal.org. This tweak ensures that our autogenerated emails are easily distinguishable from spam or personal emails.
Responder Sign-Up Form Updates (Improvement)
Affected roles: Churches
We've given the responder sign-up form a makeover. We removed the background image and polished up the custom logo formatting. Now, they're looking better than ever!
Separate Close Request & Cancel Request Functionality (Improvement)
Affected roles: Agencies & Network Leaders
We've separated the cancel request option from the close request functionality, making it its own button now. This user-friendly update simplifies the process, allowing for easy request cancellation without the need for a rating or review. It's a significant step forward in ensuring data integrity and streamlining the experience for you, our users!
Agency Worker Login Defaulting to an Error (Fix)
Affected roles: Agency Workers
We discovered a glitch affecting agency workers, who were being redirected to an error page immediately upon login, labeled 'Forbidden'. Understandably, this caused confusion. We apologize for any frustration and worked diligently to resolve this issue promptly. It's all sorted out now!
