The podcast episode above aims to both equip and inspire, which makes it a bit different from some of our other training resources that really focus on the tech side of how the CarePortal platform works. Here, we focus on what God is doing and what’s possible with this technology when churches respond, engage their community, and collaborate with other churches to meet requests.
In 15 minutes, you'll hear three stories of different requests that each saw the church respond in very different ways:
- Respond
When your church responds to the caseworker, sometimes the internal ministries and connections that your church has are all that's needed. But you'll hear what it's like when a church asks a very important question: "How can we truly wrap around this family?" - Engage My Community
There will likely be requests that are too much for one church to meet on its own. You'll hear how much more one church was able to do simply by inviting others in the community to partner with them. - Church to Church
Sometimes, your church might have the means to respond to a request but not have the local position to really come alongside the family. Or maybe it's the reverse-- the family might be right in your own backyard but your church doesn't have the resources to respond. This podcast will share a story about a great partnership that developed when two churches teamed up together.
We hope you enjoy!

Kyle—I love this approach to communicating with folks about CP. It was powerful to hear different voices sharing the stories—I even teared up and I already know the stories. I think this is brilliant and it would be easy to share with others.
I just finished a podcast class at my local library and this hit the elements the professor described as “solid podcast approach.” If you want to make it “even more slick” add a layer track that has outdoor sounds, low music with no words or traffic sounds or children’s voices at park etc. Professor suggested this adds more interest and appeal to a listener.
Great idea and thanks for sharing it with us. I would absolutely use this.
