If you are looking for a place to learn about Response Teams, their settings, and how to sign up new responders look no further! This article addresses all of those concerns. The Response Team is a deeper layer within a church that allows specified groups to activate on requests creating more space for the Gospel to be spread through the local church. Primary Point Persons and Team Leaders have a special opportunity to lead and disciple their teams as they go into their communities.

This Article Covers:
Creating a New Response Team
When you are logged in as the Primary Point Person (PPP) for your church you have the ability to add new response teams under the umbrella of your church. In order to add a new team you will want to navigate to the "Response Teams" tab in your dashboard. Next you can click on one of two buttons (shown below) to get the process started.
Once you click on either of the "Add Response Team" buttons you will be taken to a new page that has preloaded the church's address and zip code into the form. These can be changed as needed. Here you will also be able to add the leader(s) who will serve as the point person for this specific team, as well as the name of the response team. Once you are finished entering all of the needed information don't forget to click save!
Once the new team is added the PPP and the Team Leader will be able to edit their team's settings as needed. As you can see below, the settings are similar to the church settings. Response Teams have the capability to edit their radius as well. In addition to this PPP's and Team Leaders can select any communities of critical need that they would like to receive request for. This allows for their reach to be wider than just where they live.
Note: If a team is approved for Tier 2 or 3 requests the PPP and Team Leader will have the option to toggle on and off a switch allowing them to further vet which requests come through to their specific team.
Adding Individual Responders
Just above the settings area is a space where PPP's and Team Leaders have the ability to add any other leaders as well as responders who will be a part of the team. To add a new Leader or Responder simply click on the plus sign (+) in the upper left side.
You can also navigate to the responders tab in the Team Leader's dashboard to add responders individually or by a list *see Adding a Group of Responders.
Adding a Group of Responders
To add responders as a Primary Point Person or Team Leader navigate to the "Responders" tab in your dashboard. This page allows you to upload a list of responders, or to add responders on an individual basis. If your church does not yet have designated response teams every new responder will be added to the church's default response team.
If you choose to upload a list of responders a pop up menu will generate (see below):
This menu allows for you to upload a CSV list to add multiple people (you can download a sample upload file by clicking on the link below the second paragraph). This process will not let you move on until you select the button that you have the consent of the church responders to send them CarePortal messages. You will also have to select at least one response team to add the member(s) to. To save your work simply hit the "Create Responders" button.
Once you save your work the responder list will show each member's information, including which team/teams they are a part of:
If a responder ever wants to join another response team they can be added through the "Edit" button as long as their new team is within the same church. The "edit" button also allows for different Tier approvals, deactivation, and personal information to be updated (see below):
If you are a Team Leader and are in the process of adding new reconsiders to your group the process is synonymous aside from the fact that are only adding responders to your specific group, and not the church's default group.
One additional aspect to a user's settings is listed under the "Preferences" tab in the PPP's & Team Leader's dashboard. This section allows users to add their mobile number to receive urgent requests via text messages or allows them to opt out.
