Who These Virtual Workshops Are For:
This quarterly workshop is designed as a resource for the mid to late-stage of a local network leader's onboarding journey. We do not recommend it for brand new network leaders who would still be learning the early basics of CarePortal at the time we start on the first day.

What You Should Expect:
CarePortal U Virtual Workshops are designed to go deep into features and strategies that help you lead your network with excellence through the CarePortal platform. The activities and sessions planned are a mix of information, collaboration, and activities, covering both technology and ministry topics.
For two consecutive Tuesdays, we will meet via Zoom for three hours. You'll be asked to complete some light preparation work ahead of the workshop and will be mailed a care package if you register at least seven days before your workshop dates. Some additional follow-up work is provided as well (see below).
The week after your workshop, you'll have the chance to come back for a 1-hour, open-format "Reunion" meeting to collaborate deeper with the other network leaders you met and ask more specific questions of the Training Team.

Before Your Workshop:
Since the goal of this workshop is to offer a place to take you past the more basic functionality of CarePortal, we highly recommend completing all or most of the Proficiency Training Tasks for your specific CarePortal role before we start!
This will give you the benefit of understanding and getting to play around with the basic functions and features of CarePortal so we can get right to the deeper questions and strategies of being an implementer in your local network. Head to the Training & Resources tab in your dashboard to get started!
After Your Workshop:
Three next steps we have for you once we wrap up this workshop:
- Complete our feedback form!
It'll only take a moment and it helps us learn and make the next quarter's workshop even better for the next round of network leaders. Consider it an investment in the health of future network leaders!
- Come back for the "Reunion" meeting!
This is a simple, less-structured 1-hour meeting you'll be invited to at the same time as the original workshop days. The goal is to give participants a chance to come back for a more open-dialogue and general Q&A. - Create a Field Order for your network
This document is intended to be a strategic planning tool for local CarePortal network leaders, allowing you to identify specific problems and propose measurable, specific solutions. Field Orders are meant to be kept internal and used by implementing partners as they work together as a team to meet the specific needs of their community. Direct supervisors can also use Field Orders created by their team members to provide accountability and actionable support that focuses time and energy to the projects and goals that would make the greatest impact.
Please send this document to your direct supervisor and use it to set expectations and communicate with a common language.
Note: if you are employed by The Global Orphan Project, a Field Order is required. For other leaders, this is not required but highly recommended.
