Overview
This article breaks down the different options available to requesting Agencies for submitting and approving CarePortal requests. Your Agency's approval option is configured in Agency Settings โ contact your Network Leader if you're unsure which option your Agency uses.

Option 1: Worker submits request. Supervisor or Agency Rep approves.
- An Agency Worker submits a request online. Seeย How to submit a requestย for step-by-step instructions.
- An email is sent to the Supervisor's email address and to the Agency's approved Agency Reps for the county, asking them to review the request.
- The Supervisor or Agency Rep selects the link in the email to edit, approve, or decline the request.
- Upon approval, an email is sent to local Churches notifying them of the request.
- A confirmation email is sent to the Worker who submitted the request, the Supervisor, and the Agency Reps.
Option 2: Worker submits request. Agency Rep approves.

- An email is sent to the Agency's approved Agency Reps for that county, asking them to review.
- The Agency Rep selects the link in the email to edit, approve, or decline the request.
- Upon approval, an email is sent to local Churches notifying them of the request.
- A confirmation email is sent to the Worker who submitted the request and the Agency Reps for the county.
Option 3: Agency Rep submits request directly into CarePortal
This option requires the Agency to register approved Agency Reps in CarePortal. Agency Reps are designated by county and log in to submit requests directly โ no approval step required. Requests submitted by Agency Reps automatically go out to Churches.

Tip: Agency Reps can also submit a request on behalf of a caseworker.

- The Agency Rep logs in to CarePortal.
- From the navigation menu, selectย
Submit Request. - The Agency Rep fills out the request form and selectsย
Submit. - An email is sent to local Churches notifying them of the request.
- A confirmation email is sent to the Agency Rep.

It is my understanding that a confirmation email also goes to the agency's administrator. I have not seen an option for them to turn off those confirmation emails? Is that an idea at all?

Hey Sarah, that's a great question! There isn't currently an option to turn off those confirmation emails. I would encourage you to post that idea on the Feature Request Board!
